A brilliant show of flair and quick decision-making from Jackson Siketi opened Kenya’s account. The youngster not only dazzled with a persuasive dummy to slice through Nigeria’s defense but also calmly converted his own try for a 7-0 lead.

Barely had the crowd settled when Dennis Abukuse collected the restart and sprinted coast-to-coast to add another try. Siketi was once again perfect from the tee, stretching the lead to 14-0 by the fourth minute.

Nigeria briefly found their footing, claiming possession for the first time and capitalizing with a converted try to close the gap.

However, Kenya struck back swiftly. From a lineout, Lameck Ambetsa chased down a smart kick to dot down in the corner, although Siketi missed the extras.

The Morans picked up where they left off in the second half. Captain George Ooro muscled his way through defenders to crash over the line, extending Kenya’s cushion.

Moments later, an electrifying passage of team play saw Brian Mutua, Ambetsa, and Siketi combine beautifully to set up Chrissant Ojwang for another five-pointer. Siketi converted with ease.

The Morans, now in full control, delighted fans with free-flowing rugby. Javan Otieno danced through the Nigerian defense for Kenya’s sixth try, converted by Matoka Matoka.

Nigeria grabbed a consolation try through Matthew Ilube, but the conversion attempt went wide.

Kenya had the final say as Abukuse sealed the victory with a wide pass from Mutua to cross the whitewash once more. The missed conversion did little to dampen a near-flawless performance, as the final whistle confirmed a 43-12 triumph.

Morans have now proceeded to the semis where they will play Madagascar at 1213 hrs EAT.
