Owino has been a strong pillar in the Rangers defence that has kept eight clean sheets in 14 matches this season
Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau insists that the possibility of losing skipper Kennedy Owino to league rivals in the mid-season transfer window is not a source of worry for him.
Owino has been linked with a move out of the Rangers corner to the Leopards' den in the brief transfer window set to open in January next year.
The center-back has been impressive this season, putting in commendable shifts in league matches and skippering the side that is having a dream start in the season.
Owino who has missed a single game this season as he was suspended for the Leopards clash has also chipped in with crucial goals and helped the team keep eight clean sheets in fourteen matches.
Kamau said he was willing to let the defender or any other player go in January so long as the interested club meets the demands and financial valuation Rangers will slap on its arsenals.
“I am not worried at all. If the clubs chasing our players will agree with us, then I don’t see a reason as to why we shouldn’t facilitate a smooth transfer,” said Kamau.
The tactician appeared to suggest that Rangers was performing way better than the second leg of last season despite losing three key players in the off-season transfer window.
The trio of Swaleh Pamba, Michael Apudo, and Jackson Dwang ditched the club for Bandari who are understood to used their financial might to lure them to the coast.
“If the clubs reach an agreement, I am willing to bless the transfers. We lost players in the last window and we are still doing fine,” stated Kamau.
The former Thika United manager who took pride in his ability to develop players and a team from scratch assured that their title chances will not be hurt by the exit of players in January.
“I can assure that we will remain competitive,” he added.
