Harambee Stars prospect Sammy Henia-Kamau has set his sights on breaking into first-team football after sealing a move to English Championship side Hull City.
The 19-year-old forward, who previously featured for Swansea City, has signed a one-year deal at Hull, with the club holding the option of extending it for a further season.
He will initially join the U21 set-up but hopes to use it as a springboard into senior football.

Having unsuccessfully attempted to make the first team at Swansea, Henia-Kamau believes Hull City presents a real chance to achieve his ambitions.
“When I came at the back end of last season, there were quite a few players breaking in with the first team and quite a few were out on loan as well, so there are good first-team opportunities here,” he told the club’s official website.
The pacey forward has outlined his short-term goals, which include playing regularly for the U21s while boosting his numbers in front of goal.

“I just want to kick on, play as many games as possible, get as many goals, get as many assists as possible, and just keep improving as a player,” he said.
“I’m so happy to get it over the line fairly quickly. I’ve enjoyed every minute of training so far. I’m already settled here, and I just can’t wait to get going with the boys.”
Henia-Kamau also spoke warmly about the reception he has received at the club, particularly during his trial spell at the end of last season.
“All the lads were really good with me on trial and made me feel welcome. Conor [Sellars, Hull’s U21 head coach] is a really good manager.
He interacts with the players a lot, which is good. If you have a question, he’s easy to go and talk to.”

Sellars, meanwhile, was full of praise for the youngster, highlighting his strong impression during the trial period.
“We’re delighted to welcome Sammy to the club,” said Sellars. “He made a strong impression during his trial at the end of last season, showing some excellent qualities in both training and matches.
We’re excited to continue developing those attributes while helping him build and refine other aspects of his game.”
Born to an English mother and a Kenyan father, Kamau is eligible for the Harambee Stars.
