Nanjala, an alumni of Archbishop Njenga Girls High School, joined AMFF Laâyoune in July 2022, and has over the years there, gone on to post incredible figures, while picking multiple individual awards.

Her first season in Morocco saw her score 23 goals and contribute seven assists, exploits that saw her scoop the club player of the season award, in addition to being named the best foreign player of the season.

In her second season (2023-2024), Nanjala scored a combined 24 goals and six assists, with four of her goals coming in the Moroccan Throne Cup.

Her final year (2024-2025) came with bigger rewards, after she was named the Botola Pro top scorer, having bagged 28 goals in just 26 league appearances.

Her impressive run in the league also saw AMFF Laâyoune punch their way to the semifinals of the Throne Cup.

“After three wonderful seasons in Morocco, my journey with AMFF Laâyoune has come to an end,” Nanjala, who captained Harambee Starlets during this year’s CECAFA Women’s Championships wrote in her statement.

“I arrived here as a girl, and I leave as a woman. Grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and every moment that will stay with me forever.

I want to sincerely thank the club’s management, my teammates, the coaches and our incredible fans for the love, support, and believe you have shown me throughout these three years. I have grown so much as a player and as a person and for that, I will always be thankful.”

Nanjala, who made her first Harambee Starlets call-up in October 2021, made her name during the 2021 CECAFA CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers, where she dazzled for Kenyan side Vihiga Queens on loan, helping the team win the title and seal their place in the main tournament in Cairo, Egypt.

Her run that year saw her score four goals in her first ever start against South Sudan’s Yei Join Stars, and went ahead to provide two assists in the final as they won the tournament against CBE from Ethiopia.

Her recent exploits for the national team saw her score against South Sudan and Uganda in June.
