The two teams are set to battle for the coveted Mozzart Bet Cup title on Sunday, 14 June at the Kwale Stadium from 1530 hrs.

Mid-season signing Koutiama has been in sensational form at Police, since joining from Burkinabe side US des Forces Armées Ouagadougou.

With Tusker setting their eyes firmly on lifting the prestigious tournament, Teka, who is expected to start at the heart of defense alongside captain Charles Momanyi, has his work cut out to stifle Koutiama, a matter he is well aware of.

“It will be a tough match. Police are a good team with good players and a good striker in Yves Koutiama, but we will meet him on the pitch and deal with him.

As defenders, our input has to be keeping a clean sheet and bringing confidence to the team,” said Teka on the sidelines of the team's final training session on Saturday, 13 June.

Additionally, the Brewers are motivated to avenge their back-to-back losses to the Law Enforcers in the FKF Premier League.

“We have also lost to them twice in the league, and so we cannot afford to lose for the third time. We will have to redeem ourselves with the Cup.”

With the possibility of the match heading to penalties, the former Kariobangi Sharks man is prepared to step in for his team in the shootouts.

“We hope to win the match within 90 minutes, but if it so happens that it goes to penalties, my name is Teka, so I will take one,” he concluded.

The winner of the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup will bank an improved cash prize of Ksh3 million, as well as an opportunity to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC), while the runner-up will be awarded Ksh2 million

The winner of the third-place playoff will walk home with Ksh1.5 million, as the fourth-placed team banks Ksh1 million, all courtesy of gaming giants Mozzart Bet.
