The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been a key figure in the Farul team since joining the club in 2024, as she established herself as a first choice keeper within a short period.

For her heroics, Awuor was named as the best goalkeeper in the Superliga Feminina- Romania Women's League last season after keeping in clean sheets in 14 appearances.

Speaking to the club media, Awuor cited their recent success as a reason for extending her stay with Farul.

Since I arrived here, Farul has been a well-organized club, very involved in the development of women’s football, and I think the results speak best

We dominated the last championship with authority. We were undefeated, and this is because we have a good team and the extraordinary conditions we have: training, recovery, nutrition, practically the same as at the big European clubs,” said Awuor.

Having defended the league title, Farul will compete in the Women's Champions League next season albeit from the preliminary stage.

This is a stage Awuor is itching to play in.

“Now we will play again in the Champions League, a new challenge and I am impatient to be there again,” she said.

Back home, Awuor was part of the Harambee Starlets squad that finished second in the recently concluded CECAFA Women's Championship in Tanzania.

The Nyakach Girls alumni has been impressive for the national team since her first call up, and has made a name for herself thanks to her penalty saving prowess.

Awuor was part of the Kenyan team that competed in the 2016 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) as an understudy of Samantha Akinyi and had to wait for six years before making her debut.

At Farul, Awuor is teammate to compatriot and left back Enez Mango.
