Sakari is set to become the second player to swap Kenya Police for K'Ogalo this transfer window, following the imminent arrival of forward David Odhiambo, who is yet to be officially unveiled by the club, underlining K'Ogalo's intent to strengthen with proven FKF Premier League talent.

The 28-year-old joins the record champions on a two-year contract and is expected to bolster Gor Mahia's right-back department ahead of what promises to be a demanding campaign on both the domestic and continental fronts.

The Harambee Stars defender is expected to battle Paul Ochuoga for the starting right-back berth, with the healthy competition likely to strengthen the Green Army's defensive options throughout the season.

Renowned for his defensive discipline, work rate and ability to contribute in attack, Sakari arrives with an impressive trophy haul.

The former Kariobangi Sharks defender has won two FKF Premier League titles during spells with Tusker FC and Kenya Police, while also playing a pivotal role in Police's historic 2024 Mozzart Bet Cup triumph.

His consistency at club level has also earned him regular call-ups to the Harambee Stars, where he has established himself as one of Kenya's most reliable full-backs.

Sakari's arrival is part of an ambitious recruitment drive by Gor Mahia as they seek to assemble a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts next season.

The club is also expected to unveil the signings of Ulinzi Stars striker and last season's league's second-highest scorer, Paul Okoth, Nairobi United's Most Valuable Player (MVP), Enock Machaka, AFC Leopards goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi and Equity FC shot-stopper Michael Onyango, who claimed the National Super League(NSL) Golden Glove last season.

The new arrivals are expected to inject quality, competition and much-needed depth across the squad as Gor Mahia gear up for another demanding season that will see them defend their FKFPL title, pursue a record-extending 23rd league crown, challenge for the Mozzart Bet Cup and represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League.
