The Swedish outfit placed a value of Ksh465 million on the former Nairobi City Stars man, an amount that Slavia Prague felt was too high

Harambee Stars and IF Elfsborg midfielder Timothy ‘Babu’ Ouma is reportedly close to undergoing a medical at Czech side Slavia Prague in a fresh twist over his Ksh465 million transfer.

Ouma has been hitting the headlines in both Sweden and the Czech Republic during this January transfer window where Slavia Prague have made him a priority addition while his current side IF Elfsborg have insisted that he would only leave at the right price.

The Swedish outfit placed a value of Ksh465 million on the former Nairobi City Stars man, an amount that Slavia Prague felt was too high.

Initial reports from Swedish media indicated that Slavia Prague were opting to abandon the pursuit of Ouma but it now emerges that he is scheduled for a medical sometime this week according to Elfsborg Daily who have been following the matter closely.

“The medical examination for Timothy Ouma will take place tomorrow (Monday) according to the same source,” Elfsborg Daily posted on their X (formerly Twitter) account a minute past Monday midnight Kenyan time.

This follows a previous post from Elfsborg Daily an hour earlier where they revealed that Elfsborg agreed to lower the price of the 20-year-old.

“Timothy Ouma is approaching Slavia Prague again. According to the same source that previously reported on the failed transfer, Timothy Ouma is now closer to Slavia Prague again after Elfsborg lowered their price.”

It is not yet clear what the new price is but Mozzart Sport is following the transfer closely and will report as soon as it is revealed.

The new developments come after Elfsborg Daily in yet again another post, revealed that Ouma was given permission to visit another club with English sides Sheffield United and Luton Town also linked with the Harambee Stars man.

“Timothy Ouma has been given permission to visit another club. The ambition is that he does not return to Boras,” said IF Elfsborg Director Stefan Andreasson as quoted by the Swedish media outlet.

However, the outlet reported that it was unlikely that the new club would be either Sheffield United or Luton.
