Kakamega Homeboyz have continued their ambitious recruitment drive ahead of the 2026-2027 FKF Premier League season after moving to secure the signature of striker Ibrahim Joshua from Tusker FC.
The experienced Tanzanian forward is on his way to the Kakamega-based outfit, with club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula confirming that the club has reached an agreement to bring the striker on board as preparations for the new campaign gather momentum.

Joshua's arrival is the latest statement of intent from Homeboyz, who have been among the busiest clubs in the transfer market as they seek to build a squad capable of challenging for the league title after several seasons of establishing themselves as consistent top-flight competitors.
Shimanyula said the club's recruitment has been deliberate, with the technical bench identifying players who possess the quality, experience and mentality required to compete for major honours.
"We are serious about building a title-winning side ahead of the 2026/27 FKF Premier League campaign. We have identified the players we believe can help us achieve that objective, and Ibrahim Joshua is one of them. We want a squad with quality, experience and a winning mentality," said Shimanyula.

Already in the Homeboyz ranks are former Tusker defender Collins Oguda, forward Thomas Omolle and experienced defender Charles Momanyi, with the quartet expected to provide the backbone of a side targeting a sustained title push.
The former Brewers players bring with them valuable championship experience and knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest level in the FKF Premier League, qualities Homeboyz believe will prove crucial over the course of a demanding campaign.
The club has, however, also had to deal with notable departures during the off-season.
Forward Henry Omollo has completed a move to Zambia, while midfield duo Estone Esiye and Oliver Majaka have both joined Kenya Police FC, leaving significant gaps within the squad.
Those exits made reinforcements a priority, particularly in attack where Joshua is expected to add goals, leadership and experience.
The striker has built a reputation as a hardworking centre-forward capable of holding up play, linking with teammates and converting chances inside the penalty area.
His previous spell at Tusker demonstrated his ability to deliver consistently in the Kenyan top flight, making him one of the most sought-after forwards available during the transfer window.
With preseason preparations entering a crucial phase, Homeboyz appear determined to leave nothing to chance.
