Egyptian giants Zamalek are among the three African giants hoping to break the bank and acquire enterprising Tusker forward Henry Meja

The youthful striker who is in his maiden season in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League is spoilt for choice as four clubs are salivating for his signature.

Other suitors eyeing the player are Tanzanian sworn rivals Simba and Yanga.

Meja, a 2020-2021 season revelation has been on top of his game, breathing behind the duo of Erick Kapaito and Elvis Rupia in the race to clinch the 'Golden Boot with eight goals.

The former student at Kakamega High School who began the season as David Majak's understudy made his Harambee Stars debut in an international friendly match against South Sudan on March 13.

Meja who joined Tusker in February last year was crowned the FKFPL January player of the month, a few days after winning the club award for the same month.

"There are several clubs who have reached out to me but I am still a Tusker player. The offers do not in any way distract me from rendering services to my employer and fighting to help achieve our targets," he revealed.

Besides attracting offers from the African club's the 20-year old was earlier approached by Swedish side FC Linkoping City but the deal is understood to have hit a snag after the club went for Gor Mahia prodigy Benson Omalla.

"Linkopig were also interested but I think the deal is off after signing Omalla. I still have two years remaining in my contract with Tusker and I can only leave if the club reaches an agreement with the suitors," he added.
