Der dreizehnte: Kompany's brutal force on its way to stomp 13th rival

Bayern Munich have won 12 in a row in all competitions since the start of the season. At Moenchengladbach today (4.30 pm), they'll be looking for the next one
Twelve games: seven Bundesliga, three Champions League victories, a Super Cup triumph, and a win in the German DFB Cup. That's the summary of Bayern Munich's season so far, without a single draw or a loss.
Impressive, unprecedented, remarkable.
Vincent Kompany has created a true monster, a brutal force that stomps everyone on their way to the Treble.
In the Bundesliga, the Bavarians are already five points above the current runners-up, RB Leipzig, and are eager to continue their immaculate streak this Saturday, when they face Borussia Monchengladbach (4.30 pm).
The table-toppers and the most dominant side in Europe are about to face the Bundesliga's bottom team, who have won only three points in the opening seven games and are still winless.
What to expect from today's match? Well, we guess it's pretty clear... The thirteenth (der dreizehnte) consecutive win.
Asked about the mission impossible, Borussia's head coach Eugen Polanski commented on the league leaders.
"The task isn't easy, because we know what Bayern are capable of…Bayern don't do anything special. But what they do, they do really well," said Polanski before adding:
"You have to be good in one-on-ones, you have to be aggressive, you have to break their rhythm sometimes… These are fundamental qualities in every game; against Bayern, they're perhaps a few per cent more important than against other opponents. But you always need them to win games."
At the same time, Gladbach had been Bayern's bogey team. However, in recent years, Gladbach have lost their last four games against Bayern, defeating them last time 3-2 in February 2023 at Borussia Park under Daniel Farke.
