De Gea's eternal apprentice becomes Forest hero

The Tricky Trees win their first Premier League match after 1999, thus beating West Ham 1-0 at City Ground
Life sometimes has funny ways, indeed. For years, goalkeeper Dean Henderson has seen only minutes of action as Manchester United's mostly unused sub.
David de Gea has been and still is the choice No. 1 regardless of the fact which tactician sits in the Red Devils' dugout.
So, faced with such a woeful future at Old Trafford, Henderson, 25, decided to try his luck and find a necessary chance on loan at Nottingham Forest. Two-time European Cup winners were in decades-long obscurity, miles away from the Premier League lights, but this season's return to the top flight changed it all.

The Tricky Trees returned to the elite, and Henderson got a deserved place in the starting XI. And here comes the story of luck, destiny, faith or however you call it.
In the very same round, Manchester United, with De Gea on the line, got their fair share of battering and humiliation from Brentford, while Henderson and his Nottingham Forest celebrate a splendid 1-0 victory against West Ham.

It's their first EPL win since 16 May 1999, and Dean himself is a hero at City Ground, as he stopped a crucial Declan Rice penalty in the second half. The host managed to hold on to a single-goal lead and celebrated it ecstatically in front of their fans.
