Humilliated Red Devils concede four at Brentford to sink to the very bottom of the EPL table

To say Manchester United were humiliated at Brentford on Saturday night would be such an understatement. What the Red Devils suffered today is probably one of the most embarrassing moments in the long and proud history of the club.

Erik ten Hag's outfit lost 4-0 after conceding the same number of goals in just 35 minutes. Clueless, outplayed and baffled, United defended deplorably, with De Gea reacting like an amateur. His horrible reactions are to blame for the first two Brentford's goals as the Spanish keeper continued his awful form.

Once the car went downwards, it couldn't stop from there. Almost instantly, it was 3-0 for the hosts, and before you could spell out Erik ten Hag's name, we witnessed the fourth goal in De Gea's net.

Disastrous, just like their green, third kit, United could not complete more than two passes in a game that saw them conceding more goals from Brentford than in the period after WWII until today!

The Dutch tactician tried to save what's left of the team's dignity with a couple of half-time substitutes, but Varane, McTominay and Malacia are not magicians but solid players.

In his pre-match statement, Ten Hag optimistically emphasized the importance of patience and told reporters, "he'll get it done".

"I'm convinced I'll get it done - I did it everywhere. It is a big challenge, and we knew that before. It takes time, but in football, you do not have time, and that is what makes it such a big challenge."

Oh, the poor man, if he had only known...

After two shocking defeats at the start of the season, Ten Hag is much closer to being sacked than to getting things done as he promised. In hindsight, it seems the gaffer himself is just a tiny bit of a problem that torments the former both England and European champion.

Sunny days are far gone, and the Old Trafford outfit is rewriting history, only this time in catastrophic ways. Goal difference 1-6, and the very bottom of the Premier League table is a pill hard to swallow for the fanbase. Many vital changes are needed there, as soon as possible.
