Emerging Stars will face off with Burundi in the semifinal of the CECAFA tourney and Okumbi is happy with the teams performance in the group stage
Emerging Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi has expressed his delight at the team's performance in the ongoing CECAFA U23 tournament in Ethiopia.
Emerging Stars have had a perfect start in the tournament, winning all their group stages games to storm into the semis holding a hundred percent record, scoring five goals, and conceding none in the process.
Despite the good run, Okumbi says there are areas the team needs to work on ahead of the semifinal against Burundi on Tuesday.

The tactician, also doubling as Posta Rangers head coach in the FKFPL, said that the team needs to tune their minds well for the clash against Burundi, terming it a tough test for the young stars.
"Five goals and two wins make us happy as the technical bench. But we need to tune our minds and prepare well ahead of the tough match against Burundi. Although we have won all our two games in the group stage, I believe we still have to improve on some aspects," Okumbi is quoted as saying by CECAFA Media.
Goals from Benson Omala, Reagan Otieno, and John Njuguna saw Emerging Stars off to a flying start in their opening game against Djibouti, winning 3-0 to lead the group.
In the second game against South Sudan, Otieno and Omala struck again, their second goals in the tournament, to send Kenya into the semifinal where they will face off with Burundi.
