Bologna sign Erling Haaland! No, wait, it's Eivind Helland

Many were initially taken aback when they heard the name of the new Rossoblu's reinforcement
For most of the Serie A season, Bologna were among the teams occupying the European spots. However, the recent poor spell of results and seven-game winless run, finally broken three days ago with a 3-2 triumph over Hellas Verona, was a clear sign that Vincenzo Italiano's squad needed reinforcements.
And the club's management's reaction came just recently, as Bologna signed their second Norwegian in history. After Torbjorn Heggem, who had arrived last August, the Rossoblu brought Erling Haaland!
Jokes aside, that's what probably many thought and were definitely taken aback when they heard the name of the new Bologna player, but the resemblance between the newcomer and the Manchester City striker's names is simply uncanny.
So, instead of Erling Haaland, the real addition to Italiano's roster is Eivind Helland, the 20-year-old centre-back, who joined from his homeland's side Brann for €7 million.
He may not be a striker, but he IS Norwegian, introducing not Erling Haaland...but Eivind Helland who is on his way to Bologna according to Fabrizio Romano 👀😂

Imagine Helland and Haaland linking up at the World Cup this summer 🤖🤝🇳🇴 pic.twitter.com/p9W6fwQoRK
Apart from similar names and the same nationality, Helland and Haaland have nothing in common, though they have recently become teammates at the Norway national team, for which the youngster debuted in mid-October in a friendly match against New Zealand.
Therefore, Bologna got another gem to develop, the Lions got another asset for their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign (they return to the WC after a 28-year absence), and the media got a fantastic chance to tease their readers and have some fun.
It was a win-win for everyone, wasn't it?
