The side is currently 15th on the league table with as many points and will be keen to make amends in the second half of the season with an aim of avoiding the chop

Bidco United head coach Antony Akhulia will have to do without the services of four key players when the team travels away to face on-form Murang'a Seal on Sunday, 18 January at the St. Sebastian Park Murang'a.

While Akhulia has been working round the clock to get the team back to winning ways, his efforts have suffered a blow after losing three players to injury.

Newton (Ochieng) is out and set to undergo surgery and so are the two center backs, Ken (Odhiambo) and Brian (Okeyo) and so we need to get an attacking midfielder and center backs to fill in the void,” said Akhulia.

The Rising Stars tactician who was speaking to the press after the team’s 1-1 draw with Sofapaka also lamented the loss of Kevin Ouma who was on loan from Kenya Police FC and goalkeeper coach Sam Koko.

“Losing Kevin and Koko is also a blow to us as they were key members of the team. I was looking forward to the partnership between Kevin and Marvin (Amuka) but the former was recalled by his club while Koko found greener pastures and left,” he added.

Despite the team’s tribulations, Akhulia was pleased by his newly formed central defensive pair of Marvin Amuka and Idris Amadi who stopped numerous attempts by Sofapaka to breach their backline.

“I was impressed with Marvin (Amuka) who was returning after spending eight months on the sidelines. They partnered well with Idris (Amadi) to create a solid central defense even as we undergo this rough patch,” he added.

Bidco are currently 15th on the league table with as many points and will be keen to make amends in the second half of the season with an aim of avoiding the chop.
