FKF Premier League side Mathare United have confirmed the signing of midfielder Adams Nyambane from Nairobi United as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of a challenging second leg.

Nyambane, a defensive midfielder who can also operate as a fullback, is Mathare United’s second acquisition from Nairobi United this mid season transfer window, following winger Isaac Omweri.
He is the club’s fourth signing of the window and their first defensive addition, after previous signings that bolstered the attack: Mike Oduor and John Makwata.
“I am privileged to join the team,” Nyambane told the club’s media after completing his move.
“When I got the call to come here, I did not hesitate because Mathare is a big team, and I have always admired the way the team plays. I hope I can make a positive impact as we aim to finish in the top five.”

Head coach John Kamau welcomed the signing, praising Nyambane’s versatility and the balance he brings to the squad.
“We are trying to build a team that is strong in every department. Creating balance within the squad is key, and Adams is a player with quality whose versatility is a significant asset for us,” Kamau said.
A mechanical and manufacturing engineering graduate from Kenyatta University, Nyambane is switching clubs for the first time. He joined Nairobi United after graduating and played a key role in the club’s rise from Division One to the Premier League, helping them qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup this season.

Coach Kamau will be hoping that Nyambane and the other new signings can help turn around Mathare’s season, which has been inconsistent. The team currently sits 13th on the table with 18 points, just five points above bottom-placed Kariobangi Sharks.
