With the title race intensifying and the Bankers chasing a late push into the top four, this encounter promises both tension and attacking ambition.

Gor Mahia head into this fixture in devastating form. K’Ogalo are on a five-match winning streak, having beaten APS Bomet (2-1), Sofapaka (3-0), Bidco United (2-1), Mara Sugar (3-0), and Murang’a (3-2).

Across those five matches, they have scored 13 goals and conceded just four, averaging 2.6 goals per game.

Their league tally stands at 33 goals scored and only 14 conceded - the best defensive record among the top sides—giving them a league-high goal difference of +19.

At home, Gor Mahia have been dominant, combining attacking fluency with defensive security.

Goalkeeper Byrne Omondi has registered eight clean sheets this season, marshalled by a settled back four of Frank Odhiambo, Sylvester Owino, Bryton Onyona, and Paul Ochuoga, who has also contributed four assists from full-back.

In midfield, the trio of Jackson Dwang, Alpha Onyango and Enock Morrison provides balance and progression, while Shariff Musa stretches play from wide areas.

There are minor injury concerns, with top scorer Felix Oluoch (seven league goals) sidelined and Ebenezer Adukwaw doubtful.

However, Ebenezer Assifuah scored in the recent win over APS Bomet and could lead the line again, supported by George Amono’s creativity between the lines. Charles Akonnor is expected to retain a strong XI as Gor look to extend their perfect run.

KCB, meanwhile, arrive as a dangerous but inconsistent opponent.

Their recent five-match sequence reads L-W-L-W-D, including a 1-1 draw with Kariobangi Sharks, a 2-1 win away to Mathare United, a 1-2 loss to Tusker, a 1-0 victory over Posta Rangers and a 0-2 defeat to Nairobi United.

In those five matches, the Bankers have scored five goals and conceded six, reflecting a side capable of competing but struggling for sustained momentum.

Elvis Ochoro returned in goal last match and is likely to continue behind a defensive unit of Siraj Mohammed, Victor Odhiambo, Ammaton Samunya and Fadhili Masoud.

New signing Samuel Feargod marked his debut recently and could spearhead the attack again, supported by Etemesi Injili.

Fortune Omotto, who scored off the bench against his former club, is pushing for a start, while experienced options like Francis Kahata and Boniface Omondi add depth.

Historically, this fixture has been tight. Gor Mahia won the reverse fixture 1-0, and four of the last six meetings have ended either 1-0 or 0-0.

However, current form suggests a potentially more open contest, especially given Gor’s recent scoring streak.
