Just a day after his departure from Manchester City was announced, an interested club has started knocking on the Portuguese's door

Two days ago, Manchester City assistant manager Pep Lijnders announced that their captain, Bernardo Silva, would leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the season.

Today, an interested party has started knocking on the Portuguese's door!

According to the Turin media outlet Tuttosport, Juventus are keen on bringing in the experienced midfielder and have already contacted his agent, Jorge Mendes, to explore the terms of a potential deal.

Nevertheless, the Bianconeri's quest won't be easy, as Bernardo will have a wide range of options - from the intriguing MLS to the wealthy Saudi Arabia.

The additional problem could be the 31-year-old's salary. Namely, he earns €10 million per season at Etihad Stadium and probably wouldn't accept less than €8-9 million annually. Juve can meet these demands, but it would require certain financial adjustments.

But still, if a fresh challenge is more important to Bernardo than the money, the Old Lady could find itself in a pole position for his signature.

According to sources, Silva set the end of April as a deadline for making a final decision, as he wants to totally focus on Portugal's appearance at the FIFA World Cup when the season ends.

Therefore, his ultimate verdict is expected very soon.
