The club's honorary president was quick to dismiss all Liverpool rumors about the player

The news that Michael Olise (24) is attracting interest from Liverpool FC has caused quite a stir in the German media. As is often the case in such situations, Uli Hoeness was quick to respond. The chairman of the supervisory board at FC Bayern Munich said he is not worried and that such rumors are causing no unrest within the club. Because the situation is very clear: Olise is not for sale.

If that's true - I don't believe it is, but Liverpool spent 500 million this year and are having a very bad season. So we won't be contributing to them playing better next year” he said at the AI Fair in Munster.

The figure mentioned in the media—reportedly as high as 200 million—would be a challenge for any club, but the experienced Hoeness insists that money isn’t everything.

We play this game for our fans. We have 430,000 members, we have many millions of fans around the world, and it does them little good if we have 200 million in the bank and play worse football every Saturday because of it" Hoeness explained.

Sporting director Max Eberl also assured the fans that the club will hold on to Olise.

"We're not giving it a second thought. Michael has a contract with us until 2029, without a release clause – we're relaxed. He's an FC Bayern player and has all the opportunities here that top players could wish for. We want to shape the future with him" he said to Sport Bild. Michael Olise is currently one of the best players in the world and boasts outstanding numbers. Since joining Bayern, he has recorded 36 goals and 50 assists in 94 appearances. In addition to Liverpool, Real Madrid CF are also said to be interested in signing the Frenchman, with reports suggesting they would be willing to pay around 165 million euros.
