Despite missing out on points, the law enforcers walked away with KSh550,605 in matchday revenue, their highest collection since earning promotion to the top flight.
“A massive thank you to the thousands of fans who packed the stands today. We managed a record gate collection of KSh550,605.
While the result against the league leaders didn't go our way, the atmosphere in Kericho proved that APS Bomet is a force to be reckoned with. We go again!” the club posted on its social media platforms.
Tickets for the clash were priced at KSh100 for regular seats, KSh500 for VIP and KSh800 for VVIP, drawing a strong turnout from both home supporters and travelling Gor Mahia fans.
The figure surpassed APS Bomet’s previous notable home earnings of KSh471,817, recorded during their fixture against Shabana FC on 24 January.
Although APS Bomet are not currently hosting matches at their traditional Bomet Stadium, the short distance between Bomet and Kericho has worked in their favour.

The venue has attracted local support, including fans from the South Rift region and followers of former FKF Division One side Zoo FC.
Matchday ticket sales remain a critical revenue stream for many FKF Premier League clubs, particularly community-based teams that rely heavily on fan backing.
APS have also been deliberate in cultivating support among police officers stationed in the region as well as local football enthusiasts.
On the pitch, Gor Mahia took an early lead through Ebenezer Assifuah in the sixth minute. Jackson Dwang’ doubled the advantage in the 81st minute to seemingly seal the contest.
Fresh from injury, Hansel Ochieng pulled one back with a sublime header in the 83rd minute, but it proved to be a consolation as Gor Mahia held on for victory.
