Yassine Bono extends his contract with Sevilla until 2025
Sevilla, just like any other Spanish club is funding it difficult to compete with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico. But they are making all the right moves in their bid. If your football team is ever going to go places, you need to start with the basics and secure the right goalkeeper. So they've done.
Morocco international Yassine Bono signed a new contract with the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan club to extend his stay until 2025, a year longer than his previous deal.

The custodian initially arrived on loan from Girona to plug up the hole left by the departure of Sergio Rico to Paris Saint-Germain in 2019. And although he's been a backup solution for Czech keeper Tomas Vaclik, the African has proved his worth and earned the position of Sevilla's number one. He was particularly influential in the Europa League campaign where he was key against Wolverhampton, saving a penalty from Raul Jimenez. His standout performance came against Manchester United, however, in the semifinals, where his saves helped the team to the final which they would win against Inter Milan. His remarkable campaign led to the club triggering his buy option in the summer of 2020.

"I am very happy to stay here, to continue growing as a goalkeeper, person, player within the group and with the club, which we know is very ambitious. At no time was there any doubt about prolonging my stay with Sevilla. I'm happy here at such an ambitious club with the desire to continue growing and fighting for titles. That motivates me and makes me feel alive."
