The Thika-based side has kept seven clean sheets so far, but scoring remains a problem for them

Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia has reserved words of praise to his charges, despite their recent unimpressive run.

The Thika-based side began the season well, registering back-to-back wins against Gor Mahia and Nairobi United, a run that temporarily kept them at the top of the FKF Premier League table.

However, the team has been fading away, failing to win a game in their last eight rounds.

Interestingly, the team boasts one of the best defenses, having kept seven clean sheets so far-the highest in the league alongside Kenya Police FC.

Their defensive solidity, in their barren draw against Mathare, had since earned the players praises from their manager.

We had not kept a clean sheet in our last three matches which also all ended in losses. I am glad that we managed a clean sheet against a strong Mathare side.

I am therefore pleased with what is now our seventh clean sheet of the season, the highest in the league,” said Akhulia.

Despite the impressive stat, Bidco are placed eleventh on the log. The tactician believes that the team will rise once the attackers step up their game.

“This signifies that we largely have a good defense and our main undoing is the attacking third, where we have scored only seven goals,” he added.

Nevertheless, Akhulia who turned out for Bidco during his playing career, was pleased with how his charges played, having threatened to sack underperforming players after their loss to Posta Rangers a fortnight ago.

“I am equally happy with the way we played. It was much better as compared to our matches against Posta Rangers which was shameful and Shabana.

We will keep working hard, trying and believing until we find a win. It will surely come in due course,” he added.
