Tom Juma has admitted that the team is not in a good place in terms of fitness.
AFC Leopards assistant coach Tom 'Gaza' Juma has admitted that his team is lagging behind in terms of fitness ahead of Saturday's league action against Nzoia Sugar FC on Saturday afternoon at the Ruaraka Grounds.
Ingwe will resume the league with a match against the Bungoma-based team on Saturday afternoon as they look to close on leaders Tusker FC. The FKF-PL was stopped six weeks ago due to an increase in Covid-19 infections in the country.
Ahead of the clash, Juma said his team is struggling with fitness as they have trained together for less than one week.
"To be honest we are not ready fitness-wise. We have trained together for a few days and after such a long break it takes time for players to hit top form," he told Mozzart Sport.
"We will nonetheless give our best against Nzoia and see how things go. We will fight to get a good result in the game," he added.
