AFC Leopards face Tusker test in Machakos
Reading Time: 2min | Mon. 04.12.23. | 07:50
A win will move Leopards to 13th, four points away from the drop zone.
AFC Leopards are, believe it or not, chasing a second win of the season when they host Tusker in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Monday, 4 December from 3 pm
The two league giants, who have yet to find rhythm in the season, will clash with both keen to put the right footing in the league and send some hope to their loyalists.
The Big Cats whose only league win dates back to October against Nzoia Sugar face the brewers whom they have failed to beat home and away in the last three encounters.

Statistically, Tusker have won four of their last five encounters against Tomas Trucha’s charges in a run that has seen Ingwe struggle to keep a clean sheet in the fixture with the last clean slate coming in their 1-0 win in 2021.
However, the 3-1 win over Nairobi City Stars before the international break will surely motivate the Robert Matano-coached side who seem to have used the break to iron out areas of concern as per defender Daniel Sakari.
"I am confident that we will beat the Leopards on Monday. We have been training hard for the clash, as we are desperate for the points and a return to the top of the table," said the Kenyan international.
"We have used the long break well. Everyone is in good shape and looking forward to the game," he added.
Leopards will not be easy pushovers on the other hand as they bank on their international recess bounce matches to propel them to victory.
Tusker have won four matches, drawn twice, and lost five matches, a run that places them in unfamiliar territory in the lower half, putting their title chances at risk and a win over Leopards will lift them two places the log leapfrogging Bidco United at the tenth position while three points for Ingwe will move them to 13th, four points away from the drop zone.
