This takes effect from their next duel against Shabana
Football fans have been trolling AFC Leopards for releasing more media statements than the wins the team has recorded this season.
The twelve-time league champions are winless in the four league rounds they have played so far. The Executive Committee has already released three statements, barely a month into the season.
The social media trolls appear not to bother the club bosses, as they released yet another statement on Sunday, less than 24 hours after the team played Kenya Police to a 2-2 draw.
The latest from the den suggests that the club has adopted a digital ticketing system for home matches that will take effect after their game against Shabana.
The club said the move is aimed at reducing the long queues and scramble for tickets witnessed during their league matches.
“The club is excited to announce that starting from our upcoming home match against Shabana on September 30, fans will now have the convenience of purchasing match tickets through our e-ticketing system,” read the statement.
This is not the first time Ingwe are going the digital way, as the club introduced a similar system in 2019 only for it to flop massively.
Gor Mahia also attempted the digital way, but it wasn’t a success. Kariobangi Sharks have also tried the method.
“The digital initiative allows supporters to secure their tickets in advance, eliminating the need to queue at the stadium. We encourage all our fans to embrace this new system and take advantage of the benefits that it offers,” added the statement.
Leopards, didn’t clarify how to access, pay for the tickets digitally, and provide proof of the same at the stadium so as to gain access.
