Kakamega Homeboyz clash with Gor Mahia in highlight game of the day

The last time the two sides met, Gor beat Homeboyz on post-match penalties to win the Charity Shield Cup

Week 4 of the FKF Premier League enters day two on Sunday with five high-octane games on offer across the country.

Kakamega Homeboyz FC vs Gor Mahia

At the dreaded Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega Homeboyz FC, fresh from humbling Tusker FC 2-1 last week, will be hosting Gor Mahia in the day's biggest fixture.

Thousands of K'Ogalo fans from the Western and Nyanza regions are expected to make it to the stadium to watch their favorite team, at least for the first time this season.

A rivalry has been developing between these two teams, and it's against this backdrop that the game is going to be played.

In their last outing, as Gor chased the league title, Homeboyz rallied from behind to claim a big 3-2 win over coach Johnathan McKinstry's side at Kasarani Stadium.

Yet, K'Ogalo waited to serve their revenge at the most opportune time, beating Homeboyz 4-1 on penalties to win the Charity Shield before the season started.

A win for K'Ogalo, who has won two of the past two games, could see them climb to the top of the table, while Homeboyz, who have played a game less, could climb up to sixth ahead of their midweek fixture against KCB FC on Wednesday.

Murang'a Seal vs Posta Rangers

High-flying Posta Rangers travel to the sleepy town of Murang'a, Central Kenya, to face hosts Murang'a Seal in a game expected to be a great test for coach John Kamau.

It will be the first time the two sides will be clashing in the top-tier league, with Seal having been promoted last season.

Posta have had a great start to the season, winning two and drawing one of the three games played so far.

The past two games against Police FC and Sofapaka saw the Mail Men bang in six goals in a great show of prolific firepower.

Seal's perfect start to the season, which saw them record identical 1-0 wins over Shabana FC and Kakamega Homeboyz FC, was dented last week when they went down by a similar scoreline on the road to FC Talanta.

Against Posta, Seal will be hoping to bounce back with a win and possibly return to top five in the log standings. Meanwhile, a Posta win could propel them to the top of the league.

Ulinzi Stars vs Sofapaka

Ulinzi Stars and Sofapaka are having probably their worst start to a season campaign.

The two are among seven teams yet to pick a win, with Ulinzi Stars having lost all three of their past games.

The game will thus be a big test for both coaches as early pressure mounts on them to deliver for the former champions.

KCB FC vs Bandari FC

In the other fixture of the day, KCB FC will host Bandari at Kasarani Stadium.

Bandari are enjoying a bright start to season campaign with two wins and just one loss, while KCB, who have only played two games; winning one and losing the other, needs to steady their sheep if they are to challenge for the league title.

Nairobi City Stars are scheduled to play Nzoia Sugar at the Ruaraka grounds.

City Stars are winless this season, having drawn twice and lost a game thus far. Nzoia will be hoping to register the second of the campaign.
