Letsile Tebogo shocked the world by beating the firm favourite Noah Lyles in a 200m race

Although Noah Lyles' favourite event was the 100m race, in which he won the gold, he was still a very firm favourite to win another first place in a twice-as-long race. However, both Lyles and the entire world were stunned after Letsile Tebogo from Botswana won the race, running 19.46 and bringing the first gold medal to the African continent in this discipline!

The American started the race perfectly but then started slowing down and eventually finished only third, behind his compatriot Kenny Bednarek and Tebogo. After the race, Lyles fell on the ground and couldn't get up. Even the medical team had to help him, taking him out of the track on a stretcher. However, in the end, Lyles signalled to the crowd that everything was fine.
