Following a thrilling stop in Stockholm, the historic Bislett Stadium will once again take centre stage, hosting an array of Olympic champions, world champions and rising stars in what promises to be another memorable night of athletics.

Among the headline acts are Olympic champions Emmanuel Wanyonyi, Julien Alfred, Letsile Tebogo and Karsten Warholm, while Australian teenage sensation Gout Gout is set to make his highly anticipated senior Diamond League debut.

Kenyan athletics fans can watch the Oslo Diamond League live on SuperSport (specifically on SuperSport Africa 1 and SuperSport Maximo 3). Alternatively, selected events may be streamed on the Wanda Diamond League YouTube Channel, though this is subject to geo-restrictions depending on the region.

Wanyonyi faces Lutkenhaus challenge as Arop rivalry continues

For Kenyan fans, the men's 800m will be one of the standout events of the evening.

Olympic and world champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi heads to Oslo in high spirits after recently welcoming his first child. The 21-year-old revealed during the pre-race press conference that he became a father on Friday, 5 June, forcing him to miss the Stockholm Diamond League as he travelled home to be with his family.

Wanyonyi opened his Diamond League campaign with a second-place finish at the Rabat meeting, clocking 1:43.56, and will now be aiming to successfully defend the Oslo title he won last year in 1:42.78.

However, the Kenyan faces perhaps his toughest test of the season so far.

American teenage sensation Cooper Lutkenhaus arrives in Norway as one of the hottest names in global athletics. The 17-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable debut professional campaign, remaining unbeaten in five 800m finals this year.

His impressive run includes victories at the Dr Sander Scorcher, the ASICS Sound Running Invite, the USATF Indoor Championships, and the World Indoor Championships, where he claimed gold in 1:44.24.

He then announced himself on the Diamond League stage with a stunning victory in Stockholm, clocking a world-leading 1:42.70.

Lutkenhaus has already defeated some of the biggest names in the event, including former world champion Marco Arop, and will now test himself against the reigning Olympic champion.

Arop's presence adds another fascinating layer to the race.

The Canadian has developed one of athletics' most compelling rivalries with Wanyonyi over the last three seasons. Their most memorable showdown came at the Paris Olympics, where Wanyonyi won gold in 1:41.19, edging Arop by just one hundredth of a second after the Canadian crossed the line in 1:41.20.

The pair have also battled at the World Championships and Diamond League meetings across Europe, with Wanyonyi largely enjoying the upper hand in recent encounters. The Kenyan defeated Arop in Monaco, London, Brussels, and Zurich before once again finishing ahead of him at the World Championships in Tokyo, where he claimed his maiden world title.

With Wanyonyi looking to continue his dominance, Arop seeking redemption, and Lutkenhaus aiming to prove he is the future of the event, the men's 800m is shaping up to be one of the races of the night.

Karsten Warholm seeks revenge on home soil

Norwegian superstar Karsten Warholm will carry the hopes of the home crowd in the men's 400m hurdles.

The Olympic champion and world record holder has suffered two defeats to Brazilian rival Alison dos Santos this season and will be eager to bounce back in front of his supporters at Bislett Stadium.

Warholm has traditionally excelled in Oslo and will be determined to deliver a statement performance on home soil.

Gout Gout takes on Tebogo

One of the most eagerly anticipated moments of the meeting will come in the men's 200m.

Australian sprint prodigy Gout Gout is set to make his senior Diamond League debut after taking the athletics world by storm with a world U20 record of 19.67 seconds.

The teenager's first Diamond League appearance could hardly be tougher as he lines up against reigning Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo of Botswana.

The race will provide a fascinating glimpse into the future of sprinting while testing whether Gout Gout is ready to challenge the sport's established stars.

Alfred returns to happy hunting ground

Women's Olympic 100m champion Julien Alfred also returns to a venue that holds special memories.

The St Lucian sprinter made her Diamond League breakthrough in Oslo last year and will be among the main attractions in the women's sprint event.

Alfred has quickly become one of the biggest stars in global athletics following her historic Olympic triumph and will be looking to continue her impressive form.

Strong Norwegian representation

The home crowd will have plenty more to cheer for in the women's 400m.

Henriette Jæger, Josefine Tomine Aks and Lakeri Ertzgaard, all members of Norway's World Relays gold medal-winning 4x400m squad, are set to compete.

Their teammate Amalie Iuel will contest the women's 400m hurdles, where she faces Olympic silver medallist Anna Cockrell and fellow American Jasmine Jones.

Distance stars set for showdown

The men's 5000m features an elite field led by Ethiopia's Berihu Aregawi, one of the fastest men in history over the distance.

Olympic bronze medallist Grant Fisher of the United States and European record holder Andreas Almgren of Sweden are also expected to challenge for victory.

Meanwhile, the prestigious Dream Mile brings together an exciting field that includes former world champion Jake Wightman, Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot and American Olympic bronze medallist Yared Nuguse.

Cheruiyot will be hoping to secure his first Diamond League victory in nearly five years.

Field events promise quality

The men's pole vault will feature an intriguing contest between Greece's Emmanouil Karalis and French legend Renaud Lavillenie, both athletes capable of clearing the six-metre mark.

Olympic champion Thea LaFond of Dominica will headline the women's triple jump competition as she continues her impressive post-Paris campaign.
