Ayehu Tesfahun took victory in the women's race dominating the race from start to finish
Kenya's Kipkirui Langat won Sunday's, 30 November, Elche-Alicante International Marathon, one of the fastest-growing races on the Spanish calendar.

Langat took the victory with a solid time of 2:12:54, managing the race well as he stayed in the lead group for the first half, maintaining consistent splits, and launched his decisive attack around the 32 km mark.
With a powerful stride and a steady pace, he opened up a sufficient gap to secure an uncontested victory in the final kilometre.
His performance not only earned him the win but also positions him as one of the favorites to watch on the Spanish calendar.
Hiskel Tewelde finished second, crossing the finish line in 2:13:39. True to form, Tewelde started slowly but steadily improved, managing his energy and growing stronger as the race progressed.
Kenneth Kiprop took third place, completing the course in 2:13:58.
In the women's category, Ayehu Tesfahun took the victory, dominating the race from start to finish and clocking a final time of 2:35:03.
Tesfahun set a superior pace from the early kilometers and distanced herself from the chasing group before hitting the 20 KM mark, managing her lead for victory.
In second place was Mercedes Velasco, who crossed the finish line in 2:51:53, ahead of Magalie Veron who completed the podium in 2:53:09.
