KU Blak Blad vs KCB Rugby

4.00 p.m. | Kenyatta University (Blad Bin)

All eyes will be on the Blad Bin as the ferocious students welcome KCB Rugby in what promises to be a fiery encounter.

The Bankers will be at full strength, following the return of their Kenya Sevens players from a training camp in South Africa.

Despite edging Kenya Harlequin 24–12 last weekend, KCB endured a performance to forget, struggling to impose themselves as Quins exposed some of their weak areas. They will be keen to bounce back with a more convincing display.

Blak Blad, on the other hand, have been impressive since the start of the year. Last weekend, they stunned fans with a gritty 23–18 victory over Nondescripts at the Ngong Racecourse. The Bernard Rotich-coached side will be eager to build on that momentum.

The last time the two sides met was on Saturday, 26 January 2025, when KCB claimed a hard-fought 33–22 win. The Bankers will be targeting a sixth consecutive Kenya Cup victory, while Blak Blad will be keen to settle the score.

Kenya Harlequin vs Menengai Oilers

4.00 p.m. | RFUEA Grounds

Kenya Harlequin will host unbeaten Menengai Oilers at the RFUEA Grounds in a clash that pits grit against form. While Quins are yet to register a win this season, their fighting spirit has been evident.

Their narrow 24–12 loss to KCB last weekend highlighted just how competitive they have been despite the results.

Head coach Patrice Agunda recently told Mozzart Sport that the team has “freed itself from the pressure of winning and losing,” choosing instead to focus on executing their style of play.

Oilers head into the fixture unbeaten after five matches and currently sit second on the log with 25 points, separated from leaders Kabras RFC only by points difference. They will be aiming to maintain their momentum as they continue their pursuit of the elusive Kenya Cup title.

Nakuru RFC vs Kabras Sugar

4.00 p.m. | Nakuru Athletic Club

Nakuru RFC will host reigning champions Kabras Sugar in what is expected to be a stern test for the hosts. Nakuru are still searching for their first win of the season after losses to KCB and Menengai Oilers.

Kabras, meanwhile, will be gunning for a sixth straight victory to extend their stay at the top of the table. They currently lead the standings with 25 points. Their most recent meeting ended in a dominant 31–3 win for Kabras.

Strathmore Leos vs Daystar Falcons

4.00 p.m. | Strathmore Sports Complex

A student derby takes centre stage as Strathmore Leos welcome Daystar Falcons. The Leos are coming off a heavy 81–21 loss to Kabras RFC in a match played on Friday, 16 January, which was dedicated to honouring their fallen lock, Felix ‘Chano’ Odhiambo.

They are still in search of their first win of the season, having also fallen to Menengai Oilers earlier. Falcons, however, come into the clash buoyed by their first win of the campaign after defeating Kisumu RFC last weekend and will be keen to build on that result.

Nondescripts vs MMUST RFC

4.00 p.m. | Ngong Racecourse

Nondescripts will be aiming to return to winning ways when they face Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) RFC. They suffered a narrow defeat to KU Blak Blad last weekend and will be eager to respond.

MMUST arrive in Nairobi with confidence after securing their first win of the season against Impala RFC and will be targeting back-to-back victories.

Kisumu RFC vs Impala RFC

4.00 p.m. | ASK Showground, Mamboleo

Both Kisumu RFC and Impala RFC are coming off defeats last weekend and will be desperate to get their campaigns back on track with a win in Mamboleo.
