Leos surrendered a 17-7 lead at half time to lose the game.

Last season's Kenya Cup semi-finalists Strathmore Leos suffered their third consecutive defeat against Mwamba RFC with head coach Luis 'Fadhe' Kisia revealing that he had warned his players at half of a Kulabu comeback.

Mwamba went into the half-time break trailing 17-7 after Leos dominated the opening half but Kulabu resumed the closing half a much-rejuvenated side and went on to collect the win.

Kisia admitted that his boys lacked their usual luster in the game and added that he had fired a warning to his players of the comeback capabilities of Mwamba having featured for the club during his heyday.

"It was a good outing for both teams coming back from the Christmas break but our boys were a bit sluggish, it boiled down to who really wanted it more and during my halftime team talk, I told my boys that I've been in Mwamba and asked them to be cautious.

Mwamba always tend to play a second-half game and that happened, they scored first and the result went in their favor," said Kisia.

Leos have only picked up one victory this season which came in the opening game of the season against fellow Varsity strugglers MMUST who are yet to win a game this campaign.

Kisia added that he will have to analyze the game and improve on a number of areas before tackling Catholic Monks in another Varsity Derby with both teams locked on six points a piece.

"For us, we have to go back to the drawing board to see what did not work for us and improve on what worked for us. We also have to work on places I felt did not go our way to ensure we are ready for Monks next week," added Kisia.
