The second leg of the Series head to Mombasa this weekend 8-9 July.
KCB’s 17-5 main cup final victory over Kabras Sugar at the season-opening Dala 7s has given them an early lead in the race to clinch the 2023 National Sevens Circuit and the overall six hundred thousand up for grabs at the end of the campaign.
The Bankers’ fifth cup title victory in Kisumu sees them lead the standings with 22 points, three clear of second-placed Kabras Sugar.
Strathmore Leos are third after their dramatic 24-19 win over Kenya Harlequin which saw the Madaraka-based students take 17 points from the first outing of the season while Quins are fourth on 15 points.

Nakuru and Homeboyz occupy the seventh and eighth slots respectively on 10 points while Nondescripts are ninth on 8 points as Kisumu take up the tenth position on 7 points.
Catholic Monks and Daystar Falcons are eleventh and twelfth respectively on 5 points while Western Bulls are thirteenth on 3 points with Masinde Muliro occupying fourteenth position on 2 points.
Mombasa and Makueni occupy positions fifteen and sixteen with 1 point each.
As a result, Masinde Muliro, Mombasa, and Makueni have been relegated to Division Two after finishing in the bottom three places.
Mombasa however have some reprieve going into the second outing of the campaign as they are the hosts of the Driftwood 7s taking place this weekend 8-9 July at the Mombasa Sports Club.
Masinde Muliro and Makueni would need invites to once again grace the upcoming tournament.
Kabarak University who won the Division II title are automatically promoted to the top tier.
