KCB fire warning to Strathmore Leos ahead of Enterprise Cup showdown

The Enterprise Cup kicks off this Saturday with the headline clash being KCB vs Strathmore Leos.

All hopes of ending the season without a trophy rest on winning the Enterprise Cup for KCB RFC with skipper Curtis Likalo promising a fiery clash against Strathmore Leos.

The Bankers will be hoping to reclaim the trophy they last won back in 2017 after missing out on the fifth Kenya Cup title following defeat in the semifinals against Menengai Oilers.

The clash against Strathmore will be a replay of the Kenya Cup Third Place Playoffs staged last week at the Den with KCB carrying the day with a 52-22 victory.

Likalo revealed that Leos will pose a stern test in the encounter but KCB will look to be more aggressive having ceded cheap points to their opposition this season.

“We are expecting a hard match both physically and in terms of fitness but we are ready for the game. We just need to put more energy on the pitch.

We usually train so hard but we end up giving teams easy points and we give them easy chances so we want to go a bit harder and more focused,” Likalo told NTV.

The Enterprise Cup will begin at the Round of 16 hurdle on Saturday 19th March 2022 and culminate in the finals penciled for Saturday 9th April.

The game is slated for a 3 PM kick-off at the KCB Den with the Mwamba Cup clash against Catholic Monks set to curtain raise the Enterprise encounter.
