This is part of the exchange program between Kabras RFC and the South African side.
Bunduki makes history as the second player from Kabras to join the Griffons.
This is after prop Hillary Mwanjilwa featured for the Griffons in June 2023.
“Our Kenya Cup champion David Bunduki will join Griffons Rugby Club in South Africa as part of an exciting exchange program with Kabras Sugar Rugby Club! He will be in SA for six months of high-performance training and an upskilling program. All the best, Bunduki,” the club announced.
During his stay with the South African side, he will be involved in high-performance training and upskilling programs.
Bunduki was roped in from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Rugby, and has been crucial in propelling Kabras to two consecutive Kenya Cup titles.
His prowess continued when he was named in the 2023 Kenya Simbas training squad and was among the non-travelling reserves for the Victoria Cup held in Uganda in November.
In South Africa, he will join his teammates James Olela and Jactone Osoo who are part of Rhino’s High-Performance training in South Africa.
Menengai Oilers’ James Asanga and Kenya Harlequin’s Amon Wamalwa are also part of the program.
George Nyambua, Joseph Odero, Ephraim Oduor and Brian Juma also had a training program with Prime Rose in South Africa in a bid to further grow their skills.
