The 8 teams that have qualified for the quarter finals will fight for the title on Sunday
After two years of anxious waiting, the 2022 National 7s Circuit finally made its comeback in the country at the season opening George Mwangi Kabeberi 7s held at the RFUEA Grounds on matchday 1 played on Saturday afternoon.
From 16 teams pooled into groups of four each, eight sides managed to confirm their places in the quarter finals as they stayed in main cup contention after finishing in the top two places in their respective groups - KCB, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Homeboyz, Menengai Oilers, Strathmore Leos, Mwamba, TopFry Nakuru and surprise package Daystar Falcons.

The main cup quarter final pairings sees newly promoted Championship side @DUFalconsRugby being the surprise package as they make the last 8.

From pool A, overall 7s defending champions KCB RFC became one of the first sides to confirm their places in the last 8 after a quick start off the blocks that saw them bagging victory in all their matches.
They were drawn against hosts and the tournament defending champions Mwamba who finished as runners up in pool B behind Strathmore Leos.
Louis Kisia's Leos landed MMUST in the third quarter final while two time Kabeberi champions Homeboyz landed Daystar Falcons.
The remaining eight teams drop to the playoff places.
