The event, held in the presence of players, coaches, sponsors from West Kenya Sugar Company, and Kakamega County Sports Executive Committee Member Jackline Kakayi, honoured outstanding performances and players’ contributions throughout the season.

The night’s biggest honour went to Ntabeni Dukisa, who was named Player of the Year. Dukisa, whose consistent brilliance lit up Kabras' campaign, also walked away with the Top Point Scorer award.

Patrick Sabatia and Walter Okoth finished second and third in the Player of the Year rankings, respectively, with Okoth also bagging the Best Backline Player award for his command and creativity on the field.

Young talents were also not left behind, with Jibril Lugonzo claiming the Eric Shirley Shield (ESS) Player of the Season, while Jackton Osoo was named ESS Best Forward, and Victor Wawire, a standout from Vihiga High School, took the ESS Best Backline honour.

Roy Maruti also earned recognition among the top emerging players.

In the senior category, Eugene Sifuna was named Best Forward, with Griffins Chao finishing the season as Top Try Scorer. Barry Robinson and Lugonzo were jointly recognised for their defensive contributions in their respective teams.

Sabatia, a driving force in Kabras’ title charge, received the Impact Player of the Season accolade alongside ESS standout Mike Lukusi.

The club also paid tribute to its leadership core: George Nyambua, Teddy Akala, Eugene Sifuna, and Geoffrey Shitambasi for their guidance on and off the pitch.

A moment of emotion swept the room as long-serving stars Brian Tanga, George Nyambua, Brian Juma, Jone Kubu, and Asuman Mugerwa were honoured for their loyalty and service to the club.

Jeanson Misoga was named Most Dedicated Player and received the Hard Man Award for his unwavering commitment and grit throughout the season.

The Spirit of Rugby Award was shared by Barry Young and Valerian Tendwa, while Bryceson Adaka was celebrated as Comeback Player of the Year, marking his triumphant return from injury and uncertainty.

Among the night’s lighter highlights, the semi-final win over Nondies in the Kenya Cup was voted in as the Best Team Moment, while the team’s emphatic 137-point win over Kisumu earned the Most Memorable Match Performance. Collins Indeche’s flair stood out as he claimed the Try Celebration of the Year.

The technical bench was not left out, receiving special recognition with the Best Trainer Award for their behind-the-scenes efforts that fueled the club’s double victory.
