Play these players a song any time of the day and they will get down dancing

While the pressure of winning tends to dominate headlines at the highest levels of rugby, nothing beats seeing players having fun on and off the field.

Today, Mozzart Sport pays tribute to some of Kenya Rugby’s most notorious crowd pleasers, a group of players who take pride in humiliating opponents with flashy moves.

1. Jeffrey Okwacha Oluoch

Man can dance! What is that move that Oluoch cannot do? I don't even know; he is quite entertaining.

Oluoch is a decorated player whose TikTok account has been decorated with fancy moves. He plays his club rugby for Homeboyz RFC.

Whilst the utility forward’s insatiable drive to score tries and become the best is highly publicized, the latest version of his dancing moves is one that holds a special place in the hearts of fans.

Oluoch’s flexible waist and a combination of flashy footwork entertain the crowds, irritating the opponents. When he is not dancing with Alvin Otieno in public, Oluoch sometimes relieves tension by dancing in front of his phone in his room with no shirt on.

2. Alvin ‘Buffa’ Otieno

He is popularly known as Buffalo aka Buffa aka Water Buff Buff.

The only thing that the former Homeboyz RFC and KCB RFC player loves doing on the pitch more than scoring tries is getting his dance on. His love for dance, combined with his larger-than-life personality makes him an ideal candidate for this list.

Imagine what Buffa can do on the dance floor with fans watching if he can dance after scoring a try. The game could do more with more players of Buffa’s finest qualities.

3. Nelson Oyoo

The Nakuru RFC player who also doubles up as the Shujaa captain has a speed that astounds fans.

He is well-known for his skillful play, amazing moves, creative playmaking, and try-scoring abilities.

The captain enjoys celebrating and dancing with everyone around him, not just his teammates. His passion for dance is palpable and contagious to those around him.

4. Collins Injera

Collins Injera was a member of the Shujaa team that helped Kenya win the Singapore 7s final in 2016. It was Kenya’s first World 7s Series Tournament.

Along with his brother Humphrey Kayange, the talented player received the Presidential Order of the Golden Warriors (OGW). Kayange was also recently elected director of the Kenya Rugby Union. Injera comes from a family of rugby players who have achieved great success in the sport.

Injera is unquestionably regarded as a rugby legend. Injera may be growing old and almost out of shape, but nobody can stop reggae.

5. Tony Khadambi

Tony Khadambi, also known as Polisi, is the life and soul of the party.

Polisi is a rugby player who will nutmeg opponents and laugh at their expense while collecting the ball on the opposite side to score a try. Polisi represented Kenya U20 at a young age. He currently plays his club rugby for Impala Saracens.

Polisi adds a fun element to the game and makes a mockery of those who try to stop him.
