The match will kick off at 1358EAT.
The men’s national rugby 7s side, Shujaa, will be seeking to close off their 2022 Commonwealth Games campaign in the best of ways when they shift their focus to the 5-8th place semifinal matches after being dumped out of medal contention.
On Saturday night, the Damian McGrath currently coached side were knocked out of main cup contention by defending champions New Zealand who condemned them to a 31-0 defeat in the quarter final stage.
Following that loss, the team dropped to the ranking places where they will take on Scotland in one semifinal as Samoa take o Canada.
“For six weeks of work, it was not a bad effort. We ran out of steam and two tries before half time made the boys lose composure. Their attitude and efforts are commendable after they threw their bodies on the line,” said head coach McGrath.
“We cannot match New Zealand now but we shall in a few months time. It is still work in progress. We played against a team with the best breakdowns in the world,” he added.
“We lost at the breakdowns but we take the positives from the match since we still have positions to fight for,” said skipper Nelson Oyoo.
The match between Shujaa and Scotland will take place at 1358EAT.
Elsewhere, New Zealand and Fiji will face off in the first main cup semifinal while South Africa take on Australia in the other with the quartet aiming to go all the way.
