Cape Town 7s: Shujaa fixtures and timings

Shujaa only have a single game in Day 1.

The national men’s sevens side, Shujaa will kick off their Cape Town 7s leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series with a clash against hard-hitting Argentina.

Ahead of the third leg of the series, Shujaa were pooled alongside second runners-up in Dubai 7s New Zealand, a tough Argentina side, and Spain.

Damian McGrath’s side take to the field against Argentina at 3:22 PM (EAT) on Friday 9 December which will mark their only match of Day 1.

Shujaa will begin Day 2 with a fiendish clash against record series champions New Zealand on Saturday 10 December 2022 at 10.07 AM.

Kenya 7s will close Day 2 with a winnable clash against Spain who have equally had a tough start to the season with the game being slated for a 3:25 PM kick-off on Saturday.

Out in Cape Town, Shujaa will be chasing their first Pool win of the season after playing six matches without any success in Dubai and Hong Kong.

Shujaa have only picked up a single win thus far this season which came against Canada in the 9th place quarter-final match.

The team however recorded improved performances in Dubai after registering draws against reigning series champions Australia and Great Britain.
