Organisers are expecting huge a turnout for the annual volleyball tournament.

Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has organized a week-long Level II Certification training for volleyball Referees set for from 2 to 9 December at Koitaleel Samoei University College.

The training of the whistle blowers will serve as curtain raiser to the first leg of the men's league and the fifth leg of the women's 2022 league.

The venue will also host the annual Heroes Volleyball tournament slated for 10 and 11 December, a day after league action.

Malkia Strikers coach Paul Bitok who is the founder and lead organiser of the tournament now in its second edition says the partnership with the institution will go a long way in helping the event achieve its intended purpose.

The inaugural tournament held last year witnessed more that 80 teams participating.

"We appreciate the institution for the very fruitful partnership and are committed to continuously improving the stature of the tournament by creating an opportunity for more teams to showcase their talent in one of the most competitive tournaments in the country," Bitok offered.

The tournament will come barely a week after another event organised by the Paul Bitok Foundation, Keino Sports Events and the North Rift KVF branch where over 50 teams are expected to feature in the two-day event.

The Eldoret event set for 3 and 4 at the Eldoret Sports Club serves as a pre-season tournament for the men's league.
