Regular league action concludes this weekend, paving way for the top-four teams to clash in the playoffs for the league title.
League debutants Trailblazers Volleyball Club are a match away from booking a ticket to the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) men's league playoffs at first attempt.
On Friday, the Geoffrey Omondi-led side saw off rivals Kenya Forest Service (KFS) 3-1 who were the biggest stumbling block in this weekend's fixtures to firmly put a foot in the top four.
Job well done gentlemen!!!!!!!

Omondi's charges win the first two sets 25-18 and 25-22, but KFS recovered to take the third set 20-25 and force a fourth that ended 25-19 in favour of Trailblazers.
"I do not think I have played a tougher match than this one. It was a do or die and I had to win inorder to be assured of a playoff slot. We still have to win against Prisons Nairobi but the bulk of the task is done," said an elated Omondi.
Being their first time the team will be qualifying for playoff where they are likely to face off with holders General Service Unit (GSU), former champions Prisons Kenya and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Trailblazers will have their work cut out in the top-four clash.
"From playing KFS in the position we were in where we needed a win, it is clear that when we are put under pressure as a team we back down.
We need to be able to handle such pressure given the experienced sides we are set to face in the playoffs," offered Omondi.
The tactician further urged his charges to do better when it comes to handling problematic players from the opposition.
"In the third set we lost against KFS, one of the players really created chaos for us. He was the playmaker and he put us in alot of trouble.
Good morning good people 👋🏿

We took time before finding a way to contain him and that cost us the set. It was, however, a wake-up call that such situations should be contained early," explained Omondi.
In other matches, GSU dispensed Vihiga 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-13) in a quick 59 minutes to continue their perfect weekend ahead of much tougher opposition on Saturday and Sunday.
The Gideon Tarus-led side have a date with KFS and Prisons Kenya on Saturday and Sunday respectively, matches that are being replayed, having been abandoned mid-match previously.
