Mutuku, the only other presidential candidate, garnered 12 votes, closing out a rather close-contest that dragged its feet in the recent months.
The result now means that Maluki, also the Africa Judo Union Chairperson, replaces outgoing President Dr. Paul Tergat, who served for a maximum two four-year terms.
Serving just below Maluki as First Deputy President will be Athletics Kenya Executive Member Barnabas Korir, who took the seat after acquiring 15 votes to Anthony Ombok's 12.
Korir, who also serves as the Youth Director at Athletics Kenya, was a key member of Maluki's camp dubbed "New Dawn Fresh NOC-K."

The Second Deputy President seat meanwhile went to another of Maluki's camp member - Nahashon Randiek - who took 14 votes to pip Kenya Amateur Wrestling Association President Anthony Kariuki.
The slot for Secretary General went unopposed, with Kenya Weightlifting Federation Secretary General John Ogolla taking the win after his opponent - Andrew Mudibo - was locked out for being a member of a not duly registered sports organization (Kenya Table Tennis Association).
Softball's Francis Karugu meanwhile took the Deputy Secretary General seat, beating former Kenya Rugby sevens star Humphrey Khayange by one vote.
A similar margin of votes (14-13) was witnessed in the race for the treasurer's post, which was won by Kenya Fencing President Fred Chege over Moses Mbuthia of beach volleyball.
Cycling's Charles Mose, on the other hand, took the Deputy Treasurer seat, going unopposed after the demise of former Kenya Basketball Federation President Paul Otula.
Elswhere, shooting's Doreen Okiri was elected as the women's representative, beating volleyball's Waweru Mududa 14-13.
Former Kenya Rugby Union Chairman Alexander Mutai was surprisingly voted in as one of three Executive Committee members, joining Suleiman Sumba and Joycelene Nyambura.

Eliud Kipchoge was meanwhile elected the male athlete representative unopposed, while rugby star Grace Okulu beat volleyball's Edith Wissa to take the female slot.
