The top four teams at the end of the league qualify for the highly competitive pre-season Super Cup.

Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) women's league side Rangers HC are looking to seal their Super Cup slot when they play their final league matches this weekend.

The Kimilili-based side are hopeful of maximum points, despite needing only four to put an unassailable points gap between them and Net Navigators who also have a chance.

The Gerald Juma-coached Rangers play four matches this weekend with New Hope and National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) up first on Saturday.

On Sunday, the side takes on defending champions Nairobi Water Queens and Net Navigators.

Coach Juma says his charges are fully prepared for the task ahead and they want to end the season on a high.

"We are targeting maximum points. We are up against tough opponents on both days so we will approach all four matches cautiously.

Two wins will seal the Super Cup slot for us as we are already five points ahead of Net Navigators who have four matches to play as well.

I am confident of the four points but we are not stopping there, we are going for all eight points, which is no mean feat as we play the unbeaten Water and National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB), both seasoned teams," Juma offered.

In other women's league matches, title-hopefuls Ulinzi Sharks are chasing their 17th win in 19 matches when they take on Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) on Sunday

Coach Emmanuel Kieti maintains that the military side still has a chance to lift their maiden league title.

"We are chasing wins in all remaining four matches while hoping Water's unbeaten run can be halted before we face them.

Our path is tougher as opposed to the unbeaten Water, having lost two, but we are not losing sight of what is possible," Kieti said.
