The 20-year-old content creator has announced the Speed Does Africa Tour, a month-long journey that will see him visit 20 African countries in just 28 days.

Among the stops on his itinerary are Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Morocco, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Algeria, with millions of fans expected to follow the tour live across YouTube and Twitch.

During his visit to Kenya, iShowSpeed is expected to challenge Omanyala to a 100-metre dash, a prospect that has already set social media abuzz.

Excitement around the potential clash intensified after South African sprinter Henricho Bruintjies shared a photo teasing a race between the Kenyan sprint king and the American YouTuber, sparking widespread debate among fans online.

Although no official confirmation of the race has been made, Omanyala did not shy away from the growing speculation. Responding on X, the Commonwealth champion jokingly dismissed the challenge with confidence.

“Will whoop him on 3rd step,” Omanyala wrote.

With iShowSpeed’s massive global following and Omanyala’s status as Africa’s premier sprinter, the possibility of the two lining up on the track has generated significant interest.

iShowSpeed has built a reputation for daring challenges against some of the world’s biggest track stars. In late 2024, he faced Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles in a high-stakes 50-metre dash. While Lyles comfortably claimed victory, Speed’s explosive start and raw athleticism surprised many within the athletics community.

Never one to back down, the streamer also turned his attention to world champion Sha’Carri Richardson, cheekily suggesting he could beat her on the track. Richardson offered a reality check, challenging him to endure a full day of elite-level training before entertaining the idea of a race.

“Before we race, I've got to teach you how to be a sprinter first… You come down for a day, you do my entire workout, and after that, we can set something up,” Richardson said.

In June 2025, sprint legend Usain Bolt also weighed in, sending iShowSpeed a video message offering to “link up any time” to coach him, acknowledging his natural pace while insisting he could make him much faster.

The two later met on a track in November, where Bolt playfully humbled the streamer and suggested he would struggle to beat Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce over 40 metres.

Now, attention has shifted to Africa, where fans are eager to see how Speed measures up against Omanyala, one of the continent’s most dominant sprinters.

Beyond the track, Speed Does Africa is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious creator-led travel projects ever attempted. Known for turning chaos, curiosity, and raw reactions into viral moments, iShowSpeed aims to blend real-time travel, fan interaction, and unfiltered cultural discovery across the continent.
