NCPB are on course for a title defence.
National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) handball team progressed to the final of the Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) Super Cup after seeing off General Service Unit (GSU) 24-14 in a first semi final match staged at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The defending champions were the better side for the better part of the game and at full time they had subdued the law enforcers who the odds were against before kick off.
Captain Timothy Kirimy and Brian Wakukha were the stars of the match for NCPB as they scored five goals apiece. Nicholas Okore bagged four. For GSU, Christopher Mayende was their top performer with four goals.

"We are grateful for the performance today, we lost graciously because we tried our best. We are deploying our new techniques that are working for now only that it is not fast enough for our speed. We tried to to deploy new techniques but the opponent countered and it worked against us, "GSU captain Raphael Chege said.
NCPB Captain Timothy Kirimy was full of praise for his charges.
"The game was good, our strategies both in defence and in attack worked well. We particularly worked well in defence because there are things that we needed to iron out from last weekend's game and I think that we did well in that aspect today. Goalkeeping was equally top notch, the goalkeeping department really helped us today, " Kirimy said.
He feels there are things to be worked on ahead of next weekend's final.
"In attack, there are things that we are going to work on because we anticipate a tough game, a final is always difficult," he added.
NCPB will play the winner of the second semi final between Strathmore and Ulinzi.
