The matches are scheduled to start from noon at the Nyayo Handball Court.

The Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) pre-season tournament, Super Cup, gets underway on Saturday 12 March with league champions National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) opening their campaign against nemesis Ulinzi.

The match, with all the ingredients of a thriller, opens the action for the men's matches with the soldiers out to exert revenge against the millers for a chance to win the Cup, having missed out on the regular league title.

"We are keen not to give any team a chance to push us to the wall. The idea is to get a comfortable win as that will start us off in our campaign for a double, having won the league title.

In the regular league, we lead for the better part of the match against Ulinzi but allowed them to mount a comeback and we won with a very slim margin. We will be on the look out not to have such lows as they could be dangerous at this point," offered NCPB skipper Timothy Kirimi in an interview with Mozzart Sport

Ulinzi, who finished the league in fifth place have their work cut out both in Saturday's match and in the Super Cup.

Meanwhile, second place finishers Strathmore University face off with Kenyatta University (K.U) in a varsity derby that is promising to be just as thrilling as the first match.

In the women's category, league winners Nairobi Water Queens take on Super Cup debutants Nanyuki as the latter fave an uphill task against the experienced side.
