This is second time in a row that Kenya is taking part in the event.
Last year, the country was represented by 38 players in the tournament staged in Italy.
National champions in the under-8, under-10 and under-12 categories will represent the country in the Almaty showpiece.
Muthoni Baraka Jackson will be making his debut at the international stage after winning the boys' under-8 category during the national chess championships held in Kitale last month.
The Juja Preparatory Student collected an impressive eight points and will be hoping to punch above his weight in his first international event.
Jayne Awuor Otieno will take part in the girls' under-8 category after being declared the national champion in Kitale.
For Jayson Ndarwa Kimani, the Almaty tournament will mark his second international appearance thanks to his boys' under-12 title, also garnered in Kitale.
Kimani represented the country at the FIDE World Cup held in Batumi in June.
Other team members include, former African champion Winnie Kaburo who is the current under-12 national champion, Timothy Karugo who will take part in the under-7 category and Odiwuor Breetalliza Amandah the girls under-10 champion.
According to Chess Kenya Secretary General John Mukabi, the federation has fully covered the cost of participation for the team.
“We are delighted to be fielding a team in this important tournament. This is a great exposure to our players as it will help them to greatly improve in their play,” he said.
Mukabi, further, said the federation will send a team to the World Youth Chess Championships to be held in Albania next month, as well as the Africa Youth Chess Championships to be held in Zimbabwe in December.
“We take pride in the hard work, determination, and talent shown by these young players and look forward to their excellent representation of Kenya on the global chess stage,” he added.
