The the second leg of league action will be staged in Mombasa at Makande Social Hall where the star-studded bankers are hoping to begin their season on a high.
Ahead of the new season, coach Japeth Munala landed the signatures of setter Faith Imodia and left attacker Marion Indeche from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), middle blocker Belinda Barasa from Kenya Pipeline as well as promising left attacker Sarah Namisi from Kesogon Secondary School.

On the same breath, the moneybags begin their season without the services of experienced left attacker Noel Murambi and middle blocker Violet Makuto who decamped to oilers Kenya Pipeline. Hard-hitting right attacker Sharon Chepchumba is also set to miss the Mombasa action, having just recovered from an injury.
Coach Munala believes that, despite falling short in their last two attempts where they boasted of a squad with six national team members, they have a good blend of youth and experience now.
"I have a blended squad that is good enough to propel us to the title. All the departments are well equipped to face the league opponents and emerge victorious as we chase the league title.
We begin the season against Vihiga who are new in the league. We have lettle information about them so there is no room for complacency. We will accord them the respect they deserve but play for maximumpoints, " said Munala in an interview.
In the season-opening Kapsabet leg, the bankers gave the event a wide berth. In the previous two seasons, the bankers have so near yet so far, losing the title to Kenya Prisons on both occasions.
"We had a good squad that would have easily win the local league but things did not work for us. However, we have had time to regroup and come back better and with a hunger for trophies," added Munala.
The bankers face stiff competition from league champions Kenya Prisons as well as Kenya Pipeline who have recruited heavily to and are looking to dethrone the warderesses.
