She, alongside Veronica Adhiambo, had standout performances for Malkia Strikers in Paris
Pamela Adhiambo's story could not have panned out in a better way as her debut with Malkia Strikers has come bearing fruits.
The Kenya Pipeline lethal attacker on Wednesday 7 August announced that she had signed a one-year with LP Viesti, one of Finland’s top volleyball teams.
This comes after her stellar performances at the Paris Olympic Games where, despite not breaking Kenya's winning jinx, she was one of the standout players for the Japheth Munala-coached African champions.
As the Malkia Strikers landed at JKIA, one player was missing. Kenyan star Pamela Adhiambo Owino has signed with Finland’s top team, LP Viesti, after her impressive 2024 Paris Olympics performance.

"I give thanks to Almighty God for this incredible opportunity. My heartfelt appreciation goes to my family and friends, and especially to my parent club, Kenya Pipeline, for supporting my professional journey and allowing me to gain and share new insights. A huge thank you to the Kenya Volleyball Federation, my coaches, teammates, and all the fans for their unwavering encouragement. I will work hard to make you all proud," Adhiambo who travelled to her new home from Paris after the Games, wrote on her socials.
The talks were already ongoing before the attacker headed to Paris, having been part of the team that competed in the Africa Games qualifiers and the competition as well before heading to Philippines for the FIVB Challenger Cup.
Adhiambo had previously made the provisional squad for Malkia but, despite her clear talent that saw her lead Kenya Pipeline to the 2023 title while being crowned Most Valuable Player (MVP), she had not made the final team until this year.
